Subtitle: The Rebirth of the Caribbean Caiman
Author: Pavel Pieri
Description:
"Stolen Freedom: Liberalism vs. Dictatorship: The Rebirth of the Caribbean Caiman" is a thought-provoking exploration of Cuba's history, present, and future. Through detailed and comparative analysis, this book examines how freedom was taken from the Cuban people with the rise to power of the 1959 Revolution and the subsequent establishment of a dictatorial regime.
The book begins by delving into the glorious days of the 1940 Constitution, considered one of the most advanced of its time, and how it fostered a period of progress and development in Cuba. This period is then contrasted with the current reality under the communist constitution, highlighting the limitations and challenges the country faces today.
As the narrative progresses, the concepts of liberalism, democracy, and dictatorship are thoroughly explored, providing a clear understanding of these political systems and how they have impacted the lives of Cubans. An objective analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each system is presented, arguing how a regime based on liberalism, democracy, and anti-corruption could significantly benefit the Cuban people.
Furthermore, the book proposes the need for a modern constitution that reflects 21st-century principles, addressing crucial topics such as fundamental rights and freedoms, separation of powers, government transparency, equality of opportunity, and environmental protection.
Throughout the book, success stories from other countries are highlighted, and strategies for a peaceful transition to a democratic government are explored, with active participation from the international community. The coexistence of public and private property is also analyzed, emphasizing how a mixed model could drive Cuba's economic development.
"Stolen Freedom: Liberalism vs. Dictatorship" is not just a call to action but also a platform for interaction and participation for all Cubans, both inside and outside the island. Readers are encouraged to join this dialogue and contribute their ideas and proposals to build a freer and more prosperous future for Cuba.
This book is a powerful tool for those seeking to understand and actively participate in Cuba's transformation towards a country where freedom and justice prevail.

Biography of Pavel Pieri My name is Pavel Pieri, and I was born in the city of Camagüey, Cuba, in June 1981. From an early age, I was taught to value education and hard work. These values led me to earn an Associate's degree in Social Work and to complete four years of studies in Social Communication. In 2006, my life took a significant turn when I defected from an energy mission in Venezuela. This act of courage and my quest for a better future brought me to the United States. Since my arrival in 2006, I have worked tirelessly to establish myself and build a new life in this land of opportunities. Becoming a U.S. citizen has been one of the most significant achievements of my life. The principles of freedom and progress, fundamental to American society, are values that I deeply appreciate and strive to promote and defend at every opportunity. As a Latino immigrant, my journey has been filled with challenges, but also with learning and satisfaction. Each experience has strengthened me and reaffirmed my love for freedom and my commitment to progress, both personally and within the community. Throughout my life, I have maintained the hope and desire to see a free and prosperous Cuba. Although circumstances took me far from my homeland, I have never forgotten my roots or the ongoing struggle for freedom that remains in my heart. This is my story, a testament to resilience and a love for freedom, and a reminder that it is always possible to build a better future, no matter how difficult the circumstances.
