About this ebook
A book of poems that interweaves nature, love, my past and my dreams. To me nature and love to me go hand-in-hand, a flower can describe so many emotions or a sunset can stand for the new day ahead or the ending of a love so dear to the heart.

Yesterday's Dreams - J Ann Bowers
This book took me six years to write. The longest break in between any of my previous books I have written. Within the last three years I have gone through some of the darkest and loneliest times while dealing with my son, Hayden’s sickness of Ulcerative Colitis and my own health. Usually words help pull me through these times, but I found the inkstand to be pretty dried up like the rivers are in the drought we are in.That is why it took me six years to put this book together.
Each of these poems have a similar tone to them but with topics bouncing back and forth between nature and love. Each one has a metaphorical rhythm or rhyme and some personal reason behind it hidden in between the words.
The cover was created by my beautiful daughter KayCee K. who has been my book artist from the beginning. My sons, Mitch and Hayden played a major role in getting me to write. They know that’s when I am the happiest is when I am playing games with words and painting on my canvasses of life.
I can say that this is one of my favorites because the poems I have written are different from what I have previously written. The topics of nature and love have always been my favorite to write on but I find that my poetry has changed since I first published.
I am hoping by making this book the water faucet of words will turn on and there will be more books to follow. I have several more poems and memoirs that I have started and stopped over the past and I would really like to share them with the world. So keep your fingers crossed and maybe this time everything will be okay.
I want to thank the following people for standing beside me.
Thank you to my kids, KayCee K, Mitch and Hayden for always believing
