About this ebook

Man is inclined to focus on well-being, measuring it initially by his own state of health, in being autonomous, in daily movements, in the things we want to do, in regaining that confidence that is often lost, all the things that constitute valid elements that certify our real physical and psychophysical condition, this is our life.

But that is not all: character, upbringing, training, experience, dramas, work, friends, genetics, also affect us emotionally and affectively, and almost no one rationally has control over them.

Those who spend more time on thoughts, introspective analysis, those who study others in their manifestations, whether they are pessimistic or optimistic, altruistic or selfish, passionate or romantic, positive or negative, good or bad, genuine or malicious, introvert or extrovert, solitary or companionable, generous or stingy, suspicious and distrustful, possibilist and dreamer, but all committed to doing something to know.

All people in the world cry, they do it in a different way, some alone, some with a woman, some with a friend, but they all express their pain, the most delicate part of themselves, meeting our intimacy within which we build our inner Temples to strengthen and defend ourselves from everything.

This Book tells stories of men addressed to all, living and not, a glimpse of my being Creator and Ideated, in expressing a living feeling that is often kept hidden, but lived with greater intensity, for fear of not wanting to show one's weakness toward a true and genuine love.

These are the Men.

How I Loved You - FERDINANDO FREGA

    WARREN BUFFET.

It was the year 2000, I was still working for Gillette, and a trip took me for three weeks to Boston, the headquarters of the Company, for a series of business and entertainment meetings.

I was staying at the Marriot Hotel, and when I saw the cost for one night's room, I was startled-just $850 a night, including breakfast.

We had been instructed not to call room service, but to make use of the dispensers on each floor, for drinks and ice, not to bring either women or men for entertainment and in emergencies to turn to the Hotel Bar which is always open H 24.

That night the dispenser on my floor was not working, and I made four floors checking the others, but the network connection was missing, and as I found myself dressed in overalls and clogs, I went straight to the bar, to get some mineral water for the night.

A gentleman not far away, about 65 years old, asked me to please get him a Jack Daniels, but he used all courtesy and I found no difficulty in complying.

I took the mineral water and bourbon, heading for the couch, where this gentleman thanked me and gave me a hundred dollars, begging me to keep the change.

I started to look at him, the face was familiar, I had seen him many times, but I could not believe it was him: WARREN BUFFET.

Mr. Buffet good evening, I'm Frega I work for one of his companies, for Gillette and I know his whole story, he looked up and nodded to me to sit down and talk, wanting to know in detail how well I really knew him, and I told him his whole story.

My American was very catchy, the last three months I had spent in New York, and he had no difficulty in understanding; eventually I returned his money and told him that it would be an immense pleasure indeed for me to have him as my guest.

He asked me whether I had paid for it with the company expense account or with my own money, and I reassured him that I had met the expense with the personal resource.

But do you Frega, he said, go around the World dressed like that? And if the Hotel collapsed how many people do you think would be willing to save you dressed like that? And then in Gillette what do you do?

No words in defense, he was right, I knew his provocative manuals on communication and quickly complied, the only response was in informing him that I was in sales in southern Italy.

Why do not you answer me, he ready to reiterate and provoke.

My response was: when faced with doubt we discuss, if there is certainty it is not worth having any discussion.

He burst out laughing, these are my Gillette men who make a great Company.

I noticed boy you did not make any request, thank you for the boy, Sir. but I am 35 years old, congratulations you wear them well.

You will always remain the Oracle of Omaha, you are the second richest man on the Planet, and you roam the streets and hotels without security; you are truly a free man.

The last of the Society never goes to the owners to make new requests, for that there is Management, which evaluates, decides, deliberates, and I am also as free as you are, I can leave what I do now and do something else, my only limitation lies in the things I want and the things I don't want.

What I know about her is enough to teach it anywhere, I also know her failures, but in the end, she always developed only areas of opportunity that led her to success.

    Nice to meet you.

    Mr. Buffet

    CARMEL

Grandparents play a pivotal role in the lives of grandchildren, and we grandchildren only become aware of this status as we grow older, responsible, and sensitive, to put it succinctly helpless.

Mine was, a disease that occurred accidentally at the age of fifty-six severely limited him in the use of his kidneys, having to resort to dialysis.

The cause can be traced back, when he had a severe flu-like condition, which was not properly treated and neglected, and drug therapy to attack and buffer acts strongly on the renal system, impairing function.

Doing dialysis three times a day, besides being devastating on the physical level, acted strongly on the psychological one, making him nervous and with uncontrolled outbursts, and we grandchildren did not understand why.

An elegant, tall man with marked features, dark-haired with a white complexion, the ready three-letter joke, a piercing gaze were asking and wanting had no difference, intelligent, uneducated, captive educated.

This man's ability in being good and helpful was within the human parameters that never existed, he could undress and give away his own clothes.

His meter of the kitchen, had equals only in popular neighborhood banquets, if there were ten of us at the table we would have food for forty people.

Money had the same measurement, for the three brothers they were, all of whom had a detached relationship with money and a lot of trust and availability.

Like all men he loved women, and his very jealous wife controlled and guided him, but no one ever knew if he had done any wrongdoing.

Fixated with cleanliness, personal and otherwise, the true concept of hygiene was formulated by him.

    FRANCIS

Of the three sons, he was the weakest, despite his 31 years of age, being a twin of his other brother, experiencing its dependencies and conditioning.

As a small child he had had surgery for a gland in his neck, and we noticed right away he was viscous, fast, a rocket-we did not have time to think about what he was going to do, he was already becoming accomplished.

He was not particularly good at school, but he specialized at the game of billiards where every afternoon he played in a private club with the school principal, always making him win, and eventually he was forced to promote him.

Highly intelligent and cunning, manipulative, woman-loving, until the day an Albanian woman bent him over, checkmating him.
