About the Author
Curtis Dean Hill is first and foremost a Christian who loves the Holy Spirit of the Lord. He is a blues artist and enjoys playing the harmonica and the acoustic guitar for weddings, live entertainment, family reunions, birthday parties, and social events. Hill enjoys soft music including gospel, R&B, soul, blues, classical, and jazz. He is a self-educated man of IBEW, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and OIC, Opportunity Industrialization Center of Atlanta, GA.

    I, Curtis Hill, am honored to share with you, my autobiography. I am the seventh child from my parents, Marie Hill and Willie Miles. I, Curtis Hill, was born October 2, 1962, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA all of my parents’ children were born in Atlanta GA: Silver Leen Hill, Shirley Irene Miles, Geneva Hill, Flora Bell Hill, Gloria Hill, Dennis Hill, Curtis Hill, Kathy Hill and Sheila Hill. Our parents were strict disciplinarians. If you did not do your chores and follow the rules, you were disciplined according to your errors. Sometimes my father Willie Miles would take it a little step further, he would toss us up in the air and let us hit the ground. One of my elder sisters still suffers from the air drops and hitting the earth’s surface. My mother had enough of our father strict discipline rules and his cruel punishment. I was born in the Civil Rights era, the Baby Boomer generation.

    1946-1964 was the Baby Boomer generation. I grew up with the speeches of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the presidency of John F. Kennedy, and Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, Senator John Lewis, Rev. Jessie Jackson, Hosea William, and many of the Civil Rights leaders. In the Baby Boomers generation, the federal government had an initiative
