About this ebook

Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Louis Alfonso Melendez. My family and I reside in Tolleson, Arizona. I decided to write and name the book God, Man, the Devil for the special reason of sending a message to all people who don't know or have knowledge about God. In writing this book, I break down God's character, who God is, what God expects from His creation, who was the Devil originally, and what is the Devil's role in this world and life we live in. This book has good information, especially for this era we're living out, the end times! Thank you and much blessings to the reader!

    About the Author

    Introduction

Hello, people, my name is Louis Alfonso Melendez. I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ back in 1993.

The purpose in writing this book is to send a message to all people having lack of faith in God or having trouble He exists. Being inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, I hereby write this book. Thanking God for giving me life, as I write this book, it will be twenty-seven years since I was incarcerated, and I thank God for my freedom as it is very near.

The theory of this book are who God is, the purpose of Him creating man, God dealing with man's sin, and the men He used for His plan and purpose in life. I will talk about man, why the majority failed and headed to their destruction. I will also be talking about the Devil, who was he originally and what his plan and purpose in life are.

How important is everyday prayer to God? The love and companionship of God are the best things ever.

I pray for all people who may read this book. May you be richly blessed in His knowledge and in Him. Quoting Philippians 4:6–7, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

May God use me as His instrument, doing His work and spreading His message. Quoting John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. It's amazing how God uses different people in different ways to spread His message. God gave each and every one of us special and different gifts!

Let's help and bring people to the Lord using our special gifts God gave to us. The angels and heaven rejoice when a new believer comes. God bless, people. May the reader of this book be truly and richly blessed. Amen.

    Chapter 1

    The Beginning

This book is written for both the believers and nonbelievers. The main objective is we all believe in the same and one true God and the Son of God, Jesus Christ, inspired by the Holy Spirit to be a servant of God, to be an instrument to do His will and work.

I recommend the reader of this book to follow through the scripture quoted in the writing! What's the best way to introduce someone to God who doesn't know God? I would definitely start by reading God's Holy Scripture (Bible).

Let's begin with Genesis 1:1–3. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, ‘Let there be light.' All through Genesis 1:3–29, when God was creating the earth, man, and animals, He spoke all creation into existence.

Genesis chapter 2 talks about God creating Adam and Eve. Genesis 2:15–17 says, The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, ‘You are free to eat from any tree in the garden but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.' God made a command to Adam not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis chapter 3 talks about the fall of man. The serpent then convinced Eve to eat from the forbidden tree, then she also gave to Adam. Right after the act of disobedience to God, He punished all three—Eve, Adam, and the serpent. According to the Bible, God used to walk the garden beside them and talk with them. See Genesis 3:8. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, Where are you?

From reading and learning the first chapters of Genesis, the punishment for disobeying God's command was very costly! First, they lost direct companionship with God, and second, the man was driven out of the garden by God. See Genesis 3:22. And the Lord God said, ‘The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil.' God said man must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever.

Man was now separated from God, as we read in Genesis chapter 3, because of their disobedience to God. Now we know that disobeying the Lord God has consequences that will not go unpunished by God. We all should strive to do God's will in all we do, trying to obey Him and follow His commands. See Proverbs 3:7–8. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and good nourishment to your bones. To follow God and do as His Word says is to truly believe in Him and love Him.

    Chapter 2

Dealing with Man's Sins and Evilness

Moving on to Genesis chapter 4, a little after the creation of Adam and Eve.

Adam and Eve had their first baby boy, Cain, and then came Abel, the younger one! Genesis 4:2–8 says:

N ow Abel kept flocks and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. Cain was very angry. Then the Lord said to Cain, Why are you angry? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you don't, then sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it. Now Cain said to his brother Abel, Let's go out to the field, and while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. He killed his brother over a jealous rage. The Lord asked Cain, Where is Abel? When he answered he lied he said, I don't know. The Lord said, What have you done? God knew exactly what Cain did. He said, "Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground.

God is all-knowing. When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree, He knew it as well the minute it happened. When we do good and follow God's commands, we are appreciated by Him; but when we do the contrary, He knows, and there are consequences.

God told Cain he was under a curse. From that moment on, the ground he worked would no longer yield crops for him. ‘You will also be a restless wanderer on the earth.' Cain was driven out of Eden and went to live in the land of Nod (Genesis 4:12–16). Adam and Eve had other sons and daughters. The life span of Adam was 930 years, then he died.

Genesis chapter 6 is about Noah and the great flood. Noah comes from the family lineage of Adam. At this point, people were now increasing in number on earth, and so were disorder and sin.

God was very angry he had made man. The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. So the Lord said, I will wipe mankind whom I have created from the face of the earth. But one man found favor in the eyes of the Lord. Noah was righteous man blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, I am going to put an end to all people for the earth is filled with violence because of them. So God instructed Noah to build the ark to exact measurements. Noah did everything just as God commanded him. (Genesis 6:5–22)

So God sent down the rain for forty days and forty nights, destroying all people and animals except Noah and his family. Mankind would be saved through Noah and reproduce over again.

After the flood, Noah lived 350 years. Altogether, Noah lived 950 years, and then he died. To this point, we see God's wrath and punishment for sin, violence, and evilness in the world. We also see that creation in the beginning of time was long lived. See Genesis 6:3. Then the Lord said, ‘My spirit will not contend with man forever for he is mortal his days will be a hundred and twenty years.'

Let's see Genesis 19:1–38, the story of Sodom and Gomorrah; the sin there was heavy in sexual immorality. There were homosexuality, orgies, and drunkenness, the kind of sin God hates most. God already knew the sin in Sodom and Gomorrah, and Abraham pleaded for the people of Sodom. He asked God if He found fifty righteous people, would He spare the city of Sodom and Gomorrah? But that number dropped to ten people. The only righteous
