    My Model Kitchen

    My Italian heritage has always been an important part of my life, so, for this very first volume of My Model Kitchen, I wanted to include traditional recipes for pasta from the regions in Italy where my mother and Nona grew up.

    My mother is from La Spezia in the northern part of the Liguria region in Italy. My Nona is from Pisa, a province in the Tuscany region of central Italy.

    Additionally, I wanted to pay homage to my father by including recipes for the sauces he would prepare, each one a reflection of his family's roots in the vibrant southern region of Naples.

    My Nona was my teacher when it came to cooking and lectured me constantly on Italian cuisine. She taught me how to prepare dishes that varied
