About this ebook

"Dysphoria" is a collection of poetry about exploring the deepest parts of the human form, learning how to cope with betrayal and heartbreak.
This collection of poetry consists of eighty poems that were written during one of the most challenging times a person could have - coping with the loss of the old version of yourself. The author says goodbye to the deceased archetype of themselves and takes on the world through a new set of eyes, while wearing a different set of armor.

    Dysphoria - Karol Lynne

    DYSPHORIA

    Dysphoria

With my bound hands, unable to move,

I scream and shout, longing for a rescue.

    Trapped within this void's confine,

Engulfed by a slimy, suffocating dysphoria.

    Choking, inhaling poisonous gas,

I slither in search of an escape.

Caught in the grip of this desolate void,

Yearning for that surge of euphoria.

    House Of Cards

I can’t be the only one

That sees right through your lies,

    That dodges your arrows

    And walks around your mines.

    You think you’re slick

But it only takes one slip,

And then your house of cards will fall

Revealing the monster that lied to all.

    Your Infections

You tainted my soul with a sneeze,

    Exterior damage, spreading disease.

    Slowly infiltrating the depths within,

    Acidic tendrils seeped, causing havoc.

Your virus ravaged my helpless frame,

    Consuming intestines, leaving me maimed.

No time to question, filled with plight,

While you migrated, seeking a new site.

My bones are raw, drenched in rain,

Haunted by remnants of your infections.

    Your hidden infections remain undisclosed,

As a new victim will soon be enclosed.

    Cactus

    I touched you once

And let the blood drip down.

    I touched you again,

And let the tears fall down.

    I’m a fool,

    But I can’t stop.

    You’re addicting,

    Make it stop.

    You’re a cactus,

    Prickly yet attractive.

    You’re a cactus,

    So radioactive.

I Wish I Could Stop Time

    Life's cycle whirls with
