    Introduction to Writing a Book

So why is it that only 1% of the people who say they want to write a book actually write one? The biggest reason is that writing a book is hard. It takes a lot of time, effort, and energy. And yet, going through the process of writing a book can be incredibly rewarding. If done correctly, written correctly, and marketed correctly, you can earn revenue, gain clients, be revered as an expert, or achieve whatever your goal is. So let me guide you through the entire process of writing, publishing, and marketing a book. Remember: Writing a book can be hard, but it’s doable, and it is incredibly rewarding.

You’ve probably thought about writing a book at some point in your career. Just imagine the thrill of being a published author, loyally creating a tribe of devoted readers, and attracting high-paying clients. Writing a book is definitely rewarding and a powerful way to establish your authority in your niche. Your book can serve as an essential business card or make a perfect gift for your friends and family.

    1.1. Why Write a Book?

With greater flexibility than ever before in how books are published, ambitious writers must routinely ask themselves whether they want to pave their own road to publication or whether they want to partner with a traditional publisher. Hindered by historical business models, traditional publishing houses were roundly ill-equipped to absorb more than a small fraction of the manuscripts submitted by authors and to bring them to market. In contrast, self-publishers can now publish with ease and at minimal cost. Of course, self-publishing is not right for every book, but its ease has changed the terms of the historical publishing dilemma. Writers can now answer that dilemma in the affirmative by both self-publishing their book and fulfilling their hopes.

There are a number of reasons why you might choose to write a book. You may have expertise in a particular area or a compelling story to tell. You may have a specific message that you want to get out there to a wide and varied audience. Plus, any book, regardless of its content
