International basketball icon Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, New York City, on February 17, 1963. He is one of the five kids born to James and Deloris Jordan. His father, James R. Jordan Sr., was an equipment supervisor and her mother, Deloris Peoples, worked in a bank. His family relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina, in 1968.
Deloris regarded Michael as a happy infant. He never cried as long as Jordan was fed and had something to play with. Further, his mom recalled that young Jordan has to learn discipline because he always gets into trouble and pushes her limits. Being an already stern father, James insisted that the kids go to bed by eight every night. But as Michael matured into childhood, it became clear that his outgoing spirit could not be
