    12. CONCLUSIONS.

    1. INTRODUCTION.

I imagine you bought this book for a reason...You want to grow (or start) your career in music. We'll let me tell you that this book is a good start... After a lot of thinking and many YouTube coaching videos, I realized that what makes me happiest in the world (and probably my mission) is to inspire and help artists fulfill their dreams. Something inside me lights up when I see how singers that my agency advises begin to see results, artists who had never uploaded a video in their life begin to have thirty thousand views on their songs, others get offers from record labels and others create their viral first song.

I didn't write this book wanting to make money, it's quite the opposite (I think I'm shooting myself in the foot since someone who has an advertising agency is teaching you how to advertise for yourselves) but as I told you before my mission is not enrich myself at the end of you. If there is one thing, I want this book to leave you with, it is that you don't need a record label, a millionaire dad, or being discovered singing on a train. The only thing you need to start your career in music is effort, dedication, and some money (advertising is not free ha, ha, ha). Apart from that you don't need anything else! With all the tools that the internet has brought, more and more artists are succeeding as independent artists, you no longer need anything more than your cell phone to start showing your songs to the public.

This book is for all the people who have dreamed of creating music, it will serve both the artist who has never recorded his song and even the artist who has already made money with their talent (you will realize that many of the things a record label for you, you can do them spending little time and money)

In short, in this book you will learn a little about everything, from how to start creating your brand as an artist, to managing social networks, creating viral content and managing Facebook and YouTube Ads campaigns. Everything you will need to give your musical career a boost will be here in one place, summarized and so easy to understand that even your grandfather will be able to help you.

Who am I to tell you all this?

My name is Marc E. Stevenson, and I am a lawyer specializing in Entertainment Law who has created a marketing agency for artists. For several years I have guided hundreds of musicians to improve the way they advertise their music (over time I have specialized in urban music, but I have had clients who move in the genres of rock, pop, electronic and even country). After hundreds of mistakes and lessons, I want to present you with a book that guides you, a book that does not promise you heaven and does not deliver, a book that is useful and that gives you strategies that work and that are as economical as possible.

Reminder: This book is best read little by little, it is not a book to be read in one go; This is a product that you should read and reread. You must apply what you see and experience for yourself the results you obtain. The first step towards success is action, so without waiting any longer, here I leave you the result of hundreds of hours of work and more than 15 years of experience.

    2. WHO YOU ARE AS AN ARTIST AND WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS.

In this chapter we will talk about how to begin to understand who you are as an artist... for many this may be silly or useless, but this could not be further from the truth. If you know well who you are and what your strengths and weaknesses are, you will easily know what you need to improve and how you will be able to advertise effectively. By having a clear idea of who you are as an artist and what your product is like, you will be able to sell yourself better, labels will be more tempted to sign you, you will know what type of content to upload and what type of songs will possibly be more successful. For this section I recommend that you be as honest as you can with yourself, if no one in your life has told you that you are funny, do not put humor as one of your strengths. By doing this exercise thoroughly, you will learn a lot about yourself and understand what you need to do to take your musical career to the next level. If you are a more established artist, I also recommend that you do these exercises, it never hurts to know more about yourself; Suddenly you will be able to learn something that is that little push that takes your music from local fame to international fame.

2.1 Will you be: Band, soloist, producer, composer or engineer?

The first thing you have to define is what type of artist you want to be. There are many ways you can make money in music right now. You can be a producer, you can write songs for other people (ghost writer); you can be in a band, you can be a solo artist, or you can even be the bassist. Anyway, you have many options... As advice, I recommend that you do what makes you feel most comfortable, you don't have to be a soloist if you enjoy playing with your friends or vice versa. I have heard many times that so-called experts advise that depending on what the market wants you should or should not do something (Ever since Simon Cowell on the X Factor decided to unite One Direction, everyone believes they have a secret formula for success.) try to turn a deaf ear to that advice. Do what is most comfortable for you... even if you believe that Hip-Hop lacks more groups, do not join with people who may not have chemistry. This is the perfect recipe for you to take something you love and turn it into something annoying.

Always do what feels natural to you and don't try to make decisions just for the financial
