Description
If you could deliver a message to younger generations, or perhaps your younger self, what would you say? I had a chance to do that in today’s episode, thanks to a great listener email from Marcus. Here is his email: Hey Matt!, I recently found your podcasts online and they have proven to be extremely beneficial. I just want to applaud you on the success of the podcast and let you know that I'll be looking forward to hearing more of the advice you have to offer. With that being said, I wanted to know if you could do a podcast pertaining to the younger generations, mainly those who may be dealing with issues at home, in college, or just at the workplace in general. Possibly even diving deeper with advice regarding college dropouts who may be uncertain of where to go next or how to remain optimistic for the future. This would be especially helpful for myself and others who are in similar positions! Thanks again! In today’s episode I reply to Marcus’s email, sharing the advice I’d give my former self around college and the workplace. I stressed about school and “what I was supposed to do with my life” beginning in my Junior year of high school, and extending all the way through graduate school (that’s about 9 years of stress). Then when I began my career, I chose workplaces that were not supportive of my holistic health. So this email resonated with me powerfully! If you have a message you want to share to your former self, that you’d like for me to read on the podcast, send them to me at mattcbivens@gmail.com
