Dr. Venus E. Evans-Winters is an Associate Professor of Education and faculty affiliate in Women & Gender Studies, African American Studies and Ethnic Studies at Illinois State University. Terri N. Watson, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership and Human Development at The City College of New York. A Harlem native, her research examines the practices of successful school leaders and the impact of education policies on children, specifically Black girls. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz is Associate Professor of English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is founder of the Racial Literacy Project at TC. Host Larry Ferlazzo is an English and Social Studies teacher at Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, California.
