Description

Cass and Bob interview Jeffrey Bates, author of the children’s book, “The Little Bucket: A Little Story of Hope for Anyone Who Feels Empty.” Jeff believes in the power of story to change us and give people hope. Jeff goes into schools and presents the story, including a theme song and it’s even being made into a play. Jeff was a Christian minister in the Disciples of Christ early on, but the last 20+ years were largely influenced by the teachings of Joseph Campbell. Jeff is focused on helping people achieve emotional intelligence, to find their power within, and the self-awareness of whatever hole you find you have in your bucket—that emptiness can be a teaching moment. He writes, “once we become aware of the hole in our bucket we begin to sense how and IF we are a drain on the world OR, functioning out of our universe, a vital source of inspiration, reflection and consciousness.”
