Description
Repeal Day
Prohibition was repealed earlier in 1933 but the change to the amendement did not come into affect until December the 5th. On this day beer was delivered to President Roosevelt who exclaimed "I think this would be a good time for a beer."
2008 resembles 1933 in lots of different ways. Bank bailouts, financial ruin, people losing their homes and different groups trying to force their views onto the people. Prop 8 passing in California is a good example of this. Do a search for 1933 to see for yourself.
Homework
Enjoy a beer, wine or something mixed on December 5th. it's your constitutional right.
