Description

The weekend’s football looked like it was going to be full of surprises until it wasn’t, as Man City and Liverpool kept up their intriguing ding dong, followed by some mind games from Pep, while plucky Man United tried their best against Bournemouth but continued to struggle at this level. Andy Carroll got onto the pitch though, and in a Newcastle win! So that was nice. Aside from this Jim unfairly slanders Tyrone Mings, we hear about Rafael van der Vaart’s change of career and for some reason Liz Taylor makes her Ramble debut. To all our US & Canada-based listeners, we’re on tour and playing Gramercy Theatre in New York tomorrow night! In 2007, The Football Ramble was born out of Luke Moore, Pete Donaldson, Marcus Speller and Jim Campbell’s passion for the most popular sport in the world—as well as a shared inability to take themselves too seriously. Since then, the boys have come a very long way: from a best-selling book to sold out live shows. Now, with the return of football post-lockdown, the Football Ramble brings you daily episodes of equal parts insight and hilarity. All this and more, Monday through Saturday. Lend us your ears and we’ll keep you up to date with the latest stories from the Premier League and all around Europe, all with an eye for both the sublime and the ridiculous.
