Description

On today’s episode, Fatimata Cham joins us to talk about how she got into activism and fighting for education equality, being a teen advisor to the United Nations, and writing and publishing a book of poetry.Fatimata Cham is a first-year student attending Lafayette College. Her activism journey began in 2015, when she noticed that there was a missing puzzle piece in the conversation revolving around equity and education. She began to lead discussions at her school about diversity and inclusion and later became a teen advisor to the United Nations Foundation Girl Up and began to advocate for gender equality around the globe. Fatimata scaled up her work and became a published poet to the book Perfectly Imperfect.  You can follow her online @fatimatacham on Instagram and @fatimatacham1 on Twitter. For more Generation Slay, check us out @generationslay on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.Follow Emma across the internet! @emmahavi on Instagram and Twitter and on her website, www.emmahavi.comWow, you’re still reading this?
