Leslie is the author and narrator of SPEAKING OF APRAXIA: A Parents' Guide to Childhood Apraxia of Speech, now in its 2nd edition with an audio edition from Penguin Random House (July 2021). Her writing and photography have been featured in various print and online literary journals. Leslie is a former Mayo Clinic child/adolescent psychiatric R.N. and resides in the Chicago area with her family. Her daughter, Kate, now 16, inspired SPEAKING OF APRAXIA.
