Description

This is part 2 of a great conversation with Sarabeth Kapusta. Even though she has experienced countless reasons to distrust, and even flee Christianity, God has given her a deep love for His Church, His Word, and making known to as many as possible that God is not an abuser. She is an attorney and a generally free-spirited person. She is also a violinist, runner, writer, wannabe chef, and farm girl. She is a survivor of 25 years of abuse in a cult masquerading as a Baptist Church and is passionate about studying Scripture and sharing the truth and freedom found there. She is an advocate for those in the seasons of doubt and desires to give a voice to the voiceless among us.
WHAT WE CHAT ABOUT: what happened after Sarabeth left the cult
how God’s goodness helped Sarabeth to reconcile her anger toward Him
holding on to pain to validate our trauma
depression, anxiety and mental health
attempting to visit her sister in the cult
finding a church she trusts
how God is slowly reuniting and healing her family
how you can help reach someone in a cult
