April Mims is the SVP of Public Policy at hims & hers. Prior to taking this position, she worked as the Director of Public Policy at Lyft, where she negotiated new regulations for the ride-share industry back in her home state of Texas. April grew up outside of Houston before heading to North Carolina to earn her bachelor’s degree from Duke University; she later earned her J.D. at Georgetown University. While studying at Georgetown, she realized that she wanted to forego the white-shoe law firm route and focus instead on public policy.
