Ramadhan Mubarak! This week our host Salim speaks to Iqbal Nasim of the National Zakat Foundation.  It tends to be one of the topics that isn't explored all that much, but in this week's conversation, Salim and Iqbal take a much deeper look at Zakat and how it affects our society. They look at its importance in Islam and impact on the local communities, with Iqbal sharing some of his stronger opinions on the topic, and his reasoning for why.  As he explains his logic and thinking around his approach to Zakat, this discussion leaves us wondering why we didn't share his point of view from the start.
