Description
It was a huge week for NXT and AEW that saw both brands deliver exceptional shows in key moments. Host Adam Silverstein begins with NXT [5:13], which finally settled its championship picture as Finn Balor took down Adam Cole in a match that should have satisfied even those angry with last week's finish while setting the stage for a sea of change for the yellow brand. NXT also delivered tremendous main event as Rhea Ripley and Mercedes Martinez squared off in a "battle of the badasses" that lived up to its name and then some. Next, "The Silver King" dives into AEW Dynamite [24:12], which produced its best show in weeks after All Out disappointed led by Adam "Hangman" Page trying to hang on to the last vestiges of The Elite while Kenny Omega appears ready to head out on his own. Miro (f.k.a. Rusev) debuted, Matt Hardy discussed his incident, MJF rebounded, Chris Jericho began a new path, and Brodie Lee-Dustin Rhodes overdelivered.
