Description

In Annapolis, Maryland on Feb 20th survivors Teresa Lancaster and Jean Wehner joined other survivors and experts to speak at a hearing to state committee members on why the Hidden Predator Act of 2020 should be passed. This act would eliminate the statute of limitations for abuse victims, allowing them to have their day in civil court to expose their abuser. Last year this act passed the Maryland House but failed in the Senate. This year, they continue their fight for survivors in Maryland. The full hearing is around two hours long, so we will release them one after another. During this first part the panel, consisting of survivors and experts, will speak to the committee members. There are 3 panels in this first episode, with Jean speaking in the last one. After each panel speaks, the committee members ask questions prior to the next panel. Next week’s episode will include Teresa Lancaster. This podcast is sponsored by Best Fiends Visit us online at itsfoulplay.comYou can support our show at Patreon.com/itsfoulplayFollow and interact with us:Twitter - @thefoulplaypodInstagram - @itsfoulplaypodJoin in on the discussion on our private Facebook group:Foul Play - Crime Podcast Discussion GroupSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/itsfoulplay)
