Description

Shannon Dang talks her hit CW show "Kung Fu", why representation matters, and the audition where she couldn't stop crying!
About Shannon Dang:
Shannon Dang can currently be seen starring in the hit CW drama, “Kung Fu.” She plays Althea Shen, the tech savvy, larger-than life older sister to martial arts expert Nicky. The series, which is a reimagining of the 1970’s series of the same name, is the first network drama to feature a predominantly Asian-American cast. It premiered to The CW’s highest total viewership number for a Wednesday debut in seven years. Her grandfather actually appeared in the original 1970’s series. Shannon has previously guest starred opposite Diane Lane in Amazon’s “The Romanoffs”, with supporting roles in the films “Tijuana Jackson: Purpose Over Prison”, “Film Fest” and “The Gene Generation.” Her television credits include “Sorry For Your Loss” (Facebook Watch), “American Vandal” (Netflix), “Doubt” (CBS), “The Off Season” (ABC), “Major Crimes” (TNT), and “East Los High” (Hulu).
