The question is always is it the talent on the ice or the person coaching that talent. The answer isn't always that simple but in the case for the Colorado Avalanche it's a little bit of both. The Colorado Avalanche are where they are because of guys like Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar. But they are also here because of Jared Bednar. What he has been able to accomplish after a disaster of a first season where fans were calling for his firing has been nothing short of spectacular. And after tonight he will have coached more games on an Avalanche bench than anyone in their history.
