In this episode, we’re taking you back to Sundance with an interview with director Nicole Newnham and co-director/talent James Lebrecht from the documentary Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution. This film chronicles a Woodstock-esque summer camp for disabled kids that becomes a foundation for the disability rights movement. We discuss James’ experience as both subject and director of the film, and the pros and cons of having too much archival footage to choose from.
