Patrice Bergeron was named a Selke Trophy finalist for the 11th straght season, and should win his record-breaking fifth award.
It comes with lingering uncertainty over his future as he contemplates whether to return for a 19th season.
During his season-ending media availability, head coach Bruce Cassidy discussed how important Bergeron is to the team and how the captain has set an example for future team leaders.
Cassidy also said he's proud of Jake DeBrusk, is optimistic about the defense corps, and admits he needs to figure out how to generate more offense.
