Description

Welcome back to…. Part Three of a Four-Part US Open preview edition of Hey, Great Shot!! On this episode, University of Louisville All-ACC player and Cracked Racquets writer Alex Gornet joins hosts Alex Gruskin and Max Rothman to breakdown Roger Federer’s quarter of the draw.

The guys discuss the quarter’s biggest contenders, best young prospects, likeliest candidates for upsets, and the chances of the American players in the section. They debate the chances of young stars Nick Kyrgios and Hyeon Chung, highlight the prospects of young Americans Michael Mmoh and Noah Rubin, and of course, preview the seemingly inevitable Federer/Djokovic quarterfinal matchup. Gornet also makes his predictions for upset candidates, sleepers, last American player standing, and US Open men’s singles champion.
