When you see those in need, you feel compelled to help. In 1998, the citizens of La Habra, Texas took pity on an Egyptian immigrant who showed up after being granted religious asylum. The man, who only had one arm and was unable to work to support himself, was shown kindness by a neighborhood of well-doers and given a place to stay. Then, he thanked them by, just after March 17th 1998, placing concrete slabs on various yards within the neighborhood. Slabs that, once opened, contained horror no one could have expected. March 17th: John Ghobrial Kills (1998)
