Description
The podcast is back follow a brief period of mourning and is ready to tear into the Blue Jays offseason!
Ryan Andrews returns from a brief respite to discuss the Blue Jays topics of the week, starting with Russell Martin's performance as manager of the club during Sunday's 9-4 loss to Tampa Bay. Andrews also discusses Kevin Pillar's night as a lead-off man, Jon Berti's above-average acquittal during his four-game stint and how appropriate it was that Sam Gaviglio started the season finale.
The second segment is devoted to the plethora of names that have been linked to John Gibbons' vacated managerial position. With Ken Rosenthal and Shi Davidi unleashing a torrent of candidates, from Stubby Clapp and Sandy Alomar Jr. to Rocco Baldelli and Chris Woodward, Andrews combs through the connections and reiterates their preference on candidates.
The final segment is dedicated to the MLB playoffs. After bemoaning Bob Melvin's decision to go full bullpen day in a one-game playoff with the Yankees, Andrews breaks down the first round matchups and offers predictions, as well as a sneak peak at an idea to get the Mike Trouts of the world back into the playoff swing.
