Lauren Koenig's research investigates animal behavior and adaptive traits. I also freelance as a science journalist and promote science communication and  diversity in STEM as Editor-in-Chief of the Scientista foundation: http://www.scientistafoundation.com/
As part of the MSU Science Festival, WaMPS will be doing a public presentation on the science of sports. Bryan will be moderating the presentation while we hear from physics grad student Jacob Watkins, osteopathic medical student Megan Carrillo who has appeared on the podcast, physics grad student Paul Hamerski, aka Tall Paul, and physics grad student John Wieland. These speakers will be presenting on the science behind frisbee, sport injury prevention, javelin, and ice skating.
