Description

“What is more frightening?  Facing the quickest bowler in the world in front of 30,000 people or walking into a crack den in South Central Los Angeles?”

That’s just one of the questions host @tonybishop1 discussed at Edgbaston with Paul Smith, hero of @WarwickshireCCC 1994 treble winners.  The latest Guerillashire Podcast from @guerillacricket is here!

Paul was part of the all - conquering Warwickshire side of the 1990s under Bob Woolmer. However, he also holds the US Certificate of Appreciation for his ground breaking work using cricket as a force for good with gangs in the most notorious areas of Los Angeles. He advises the Princes Trust, is a motivational speaker, broadcaster and a published author whose book ‘Wasted’ was described by one reviewer thus..“Not so much a kiss-and-tell, as kiss, have casual sex, get stoned, drunk, divorced, unemployed, homeless, penniless and tell.”

Thanks to Jeff Perkins for the theme tune and jingles and to Jon Stone for editing and production support.
