Liquid carton sales rose by 6 percent in 2011, with the bulk of sales coming from cartons used in food and soft drinks. Regina Maiseviciute, packaging research analyst at Euromonitor, explains that China had a large role in the growth and is set to consume 35.6 billion units between 2011 and 2015. Western Europe also helped boost sales of liquid cartons, particularly in the pet food market. Maiseviciute also discusses future prospects for liquid cartons.
