Description

Heather Kirby is a Mastering Engineer and Audio Educator. She owns and operates her studio “Dreamlands Mastering” in Prince Edward County Ontario where she works with artists to complete their creative visions and prepares their music to be unveiled to listeners. Heather found her passion for mastering after a winding freelance career in engineering and mixing for music, film/TV post, and live TV broadcast. A longtime advocate for gender equity in the audio industry, she developed and produced a funded music production workshop event for women, trans and non- binary folks in Toronto called Resampled in 2013. As an educator, Heather has been teaching sound and music production courses to undergraduate and graduate students with X University’s RTA School of Media for the past nine years. Heather is also a musician and member of the bands Ohbijou and Vag Halen.
