And as the average boat is only used 8% of the year, boat owners get the chance to make owning a boat more affordable by earning some income from their under-utilized asset. GetMyBoat has been described as both Uber and Airbnb on water. I invited Val Streif, head of marketing for GetMyBoat onto the podcast to find out more about how this easy-to-use app, for boat lovers all around the world had sent over 60,000 people out on the water.
