Description

Gail Porter is a Scottish television presenter, model and actress. Best known for presenting such shows as Top of the Pops, Live & Kicking, Children in Need, The Big Breakfast and The Gadget Show. In 2005 Gail developed alopecia totalis, causing her to loose her hair. She decided not to wear a hat or wig in order to raise awareness of the condition and became ambassador for the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides wigs to children with hair loss. Gail’s alopecia was the subject of the BBC ONE Life series documentary Gail Porter Laid Bare in 2006. She is a vice-president of The Children's Trust, a UK charity for children with brain injuries. Gail’s latest show, Spooked Scotland is available now on Really and Discovery+.
