Bill opened up the show today by letting the audience know that the NBA will officially be back! They’re planning for 22 teams to return with 8 regular season games. More sports will soon be following. Bill then discussed the unrest across America, kneeling, protests etc. He simply said that we need to just work together as one. We then played Bill’s interview with Armando Galarraga following the 10-year anniversary of his near perfect game.
In our second hour of the show today we were joined by the Executive Director of the MHSAA, Mark Uyl. He updated us on the recent news regarding high school sports being able to start back up due to Gov. Whitmer’s opening up of the State. He and Bill discussed the main guidelines Mark and his staff have put together in reference to those high school sports getting started again. They talked about specific sports and their rules, the do’s and don’ts, and so much more.
In our final hour Bill talked about the state of the MLB at this moment and what it seems like their plan might be right now. We were joined by Scott Miller to get his input on everything the MLB has been doing as well as what they plan to do in the near future. Scott and Bill also talked about whether they think the Tigers will play this year or not. We then had the replay of Bill’s interview with Armando Galarraga. We wrapped up the show with Bruce Courtade about something he’s doing to raise money for essential workers at this time.
