Welcome to Plant-Based DFW a podcast about all things "plant-based". We are a husband and wife team who are passionate about sharing the benefits of eating a whole food plant-based diet. We have seen changes and improvements in our own health and would like to continue promoting this lifestyle. We are also passionate about sailing. So we will introduce people here in Dallas but also other who we meet along the way. You will hear from physicians, nutritionists, and everyday people who are plant-based. Some people made the change to improve their health, some out of compassion for the animals and some for the environment. Irregardless, we are all in it together.Dr. Riz is a vascular surgeon in the Dallas area with over 20 years of experience. He now incorporates plant-based nutriton into his patient modification plan. He is also the CEO of his vascular center. Maya is a wellness coach at the center and an advocate of plant-based nutrition. She is certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell and has completed the Dr. John McDougall Dietary Therapy Program.Support the show
