I was really looking forward to the upcoming episodes of Translation Confessional because I have a few conversations that I'm eager to share with you. Today we'll have Part 1 of a 2-part interview with Damián Santilli, audiovisual translator and translation instructor from Argentina. We sat down to talk about his thesis on the dubbed version of the movie "Deadpool" and also ended up talking about neutral Spanish in audiovisual translations, regional expressions, accents in Spanish-speaking content, preparing the new generation for shifts in audiovisual translation demands, and a lot more. Let's just say we geeked out on translation, subtitling, dubbing, and language. No wonder Damián's alias on social media is TraduGeek!
