"The Northman" is the third feature film from director Robert Eggers ("The Witch" &"The Lighthouse"), and like his two previous films, it's an unforgettably immersive experience due to the meticulous amounts of research that went into the project with a gripping revenge story steeped in themes we're familiar with. Eggers set out to make the definitive Viking film, and he's done just that with his latest.
