Jake Hatch shared his thoughts on the matter and why he thinks this is a win for student-athletes and could be a good thing for BYU as a football program and athletic department

Attention then turned to the daily staple of the 100 Seasons of BYU Football Countdown with a look back at 1971 and the final season with Tommy Hudspeth at the helm of the program. Jake Hatch talked about what happened during the season with four All-Americans despite a lackluster 5-6 overall campaign

Finally, the podcast wrapped up with celebrating Tysen Lewis Day (73 days until kickoff), COSIDA All-Academic region honors for James Empey and Keenan Pili, & Jake reacting to some listener emails regarding the podcast and what they mean to him as he works on the show
