An Independence Day (observed) show began on Monday with a look back at a decade of BYU football being an independent program. Jake Hatch shared his observations of independence for the Cougars and some of the backstory for why they went that route and where they seem to be going now

The theme of looking back continued as the 100 Seasons of BYU Football Countdown continued on Monday with a retrospective on the 1978 season for BYU with two future Hall of Fame and Super Bowl-winning QB's splitting time as the Cougars won the WAC title while losing both in-state rivalry games & the inaugural Holiday Bowl

Finally, the show wrapped up with some brief thoughts on the BYU athletic department's #17 showing in the Learfield Directors Cup standings, finishing with their third-highest showing in the standings after being as high as #2 in the rankings at one point over the past season
