The Guardians split the double header against the Twins. We focus on game one that saw another stellar outing by Zach Plesac. I came up with an unusual theory for what has gotten into Plesac which also explains why McKenzie started to struggle about that same time. The Guardians managed to rally late to pull out the win, and one can’t help but wonder how many more wins the Twins would have now if they had not traded their closer before the year began.

We get into the second game which was a mess for the Guardians. Pitching wise things got out of hand, and offensively well there just wasn’t any. The Twins had more hits in game two than the Guardians managed in both games combined. At least Oscar Gonzalez had a nice rebound.

We talk about the surprising pitching factory that the Pirates have become. I explain why while everyone talks up David Bednar, and for good reason, Wil Crowe might be the player to consider. Wil Crowe was twice drafted by the Cleveland Guardians has more team control and would likely be cheaper to acquire.
