"The U.S. Dollar price has been a recipient of interest rate differentials. Fed Chair Jerome Powell has been focused on U.S. inflation and not global inflation. With the crisis in Europe, the British Pound and Euro are seeing weakness. The Japanese government would like for traders to stop selling the Yen currency," says Larry Shover. The September FOMC meeting begins next Tuesday. Shover also provides his outlook for treasuries as the Federal Reserve raises interest rates.
