Description

Josh Katz is a guitarist, vocalist and producer for American rock band Badflower. The band immediately made waves with ther EP 'Temper', which made Apple Music name them Artist of the Week in 2016. Their debut album 'OK, I'm Sick' was released in 2019 to good acclaim, propelled by the heartfelt, authentic, and at times confrontational lyrics by Katz. Badflowers recently released their second album 'This Is How The World Ends', and we spoke with Katz about the album, how he started writing songs, his development as a lyricist, the song 'Family', wanting to sound genuine, escapism vs confrontational art, struggling with being thoughtful, and a lot more. Interview by: Robin HignellSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/FaceCulture)

A short disclaimer: Because a lot of our interviews are conducted at festivals, music venues, hotels, restaurants, and the like, the quality of the audio isn't always in our full control, so please bare with us when the sound quality doesn't always match that of other podcasts. Having said that, we do want to provde the listener with as comfortable a listening experiences as possible, so not every interview that we do as FaceCulture will find its way to the podcast.
