Description

Monica Carbonell is the Founder and Beverage Director of Liquid Culture. Initially started as an inclusive community that encouraged users to be their very best home bartender, Liquid Culture has evolved in to a multi media production and management company.
Monica’s passion for cocktails flourished during her time as a leading Bartender with the iconic team at Canoe Restaurant and Bar, situated in the heart of Toronto’s Financial District. Working alongside one of Toronto’s finest bartenders, Jeff Sansone, she developed custom menus, implemented new systems and cocktail programs, while creating a lasting and memorable guest experience. With a love for travel, that is typically dictated around the best food and drinks cities, she has been exposed to numerous cultures and flavours that continue to influence her palate to date.
Monica’s education stems from her love of hospitality, where she majored with Honours under the Hotel and Food Administration Program at the University of Guelph. The recent venture of Liquid Culture best represents Monica’s immense passion to educate and inspire creative minds (in any industry) to come together for the love of a good cocktail. Native to Etobicoke, Monica Carbonell currently resides in the heart of downtown Toronto. Monica can also be seen making semi regular appearances on The Social on CTV. Her latest appearance was on the March 02, 2021 episode - Season 8 Episode 107.
