He’s been writing and performing for nearly 30 years. Derrick has written four books. He has four books in public circulation. He's also on the leadership team of The Definitive Soap Box, the largest running poetry open mic in Long Beach. He currently serves on the pastoral team at Vintage Faith Culver City and is also working on opening up a coffee shop in the Los Angeles area. Derrick is also the founder and co-host of the “Breathe: Faith and Creativity” Podcast.
