Description

Welcome to Roadcase!!  We're super stoked to have the wonderful Elise Okusami on the show this week. Elise performs under the name Oceanator, and she explores the contrasts and polarity of emotions in today's world with her stunning latest LP effort, Nothing's Ever Fine, co-produced by Elise and Bartees Strange, both originally from the DC area. As Oceanator, Elise provides insights into a multi-varied world, at times a dystopian universe, but always with a glimmer of hope... depending on the day. An experienced veteran of the road, Elise has toured with Pup and Pedro the Lion, among others, and has crafted a music career based on her strong foundation of punk and thrash, while building gorgeous soundscapes to create songs that are inviting, challenging and compelling. Elise is quietly self-confident and exudes a strong self-awareness. She shares with us her love of the road, the importance for her of being on stage and how she hopes to be a comfort to her fans -- to provide that connective glue that brings people together. So hop on the Roadcase bus to learn about this compelling and multi-faceted artist, Elise Okusami.
