Description

This You've Never Seen September has a focus on Geena Davis' career in the '80 and we kick off the month with a look at one of Chris' favorite films of all time and a true comedy classic: Fletch. Starring Chevy Chase as the titular investigative journalist, he must solve a case of beachfront drug dealers while also trying to figure out why a prominent businessman has hired him to kill him. It's a sun-soaked neo-noir film that is based on a book by Gregory McDonald but changes the character to better suit Chase's comedy styles. Pulp Serenade's Cullen Gallagher joins Chris to talk about the film, it's comedy style and all the Fletch films that never were. You can follow Chris Stachiw at @Casualty_Chris and the Kulturecast @kulturecast. The music is Tigerblood Jewel's The Bayou. You can also subscribe to the Kulturecast on iTunes here.
