Description
Sunday night Tunnel Vision is back with USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham and Chris Trevino along with intern Jack Smith breaking down the Trojans heartbreaking 43-42 loss to the Utes. The USC offense came out of the gate with a bang, scoring touchdowns on its first three drives despite dealing with the intense crowd noise at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The defense was a different story, failing to get stops and having no answers for quarterback Cameron Rising and tight end Dalton Kincaid.
The guys talk about what went right and what went wrong in Salt Lake City, how the Pac-12 officiating impacted the game and if head coach Lincoln Riley could have done anything differently down the stretch.
Quarterback Caleb Williams had an All-American like performance, completing 25 of 42 passes for 381 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for 97 positive yards including a 55-yard scamper in the first quarter, but his total rushing yards was 57 because of 40 yards lost in sacks. Jordan Addison and Mario Williams led the way for the receivers, combining for 11 catches for 251 yards and a touchdown. Linebacker Eric Gentry was USC's leading tackler with 9 stops and one forced fumble.
