Week 9 of the HS football season is upon us and it is littered with big games across the Panhandle.  Canyon and Randall in the "Goat" game, Shallowater/Bushland, West Plains/Perryton, Sunray/Gruver and the big rivalary game between Happy and Nazareth.  Analysis of all the week 9 games and our thoughts. Amarillo High and Randall advance to the Regional team tennis tournament with big wins over Abilene Wylie and Vernon. Cross country regionals are next week and a volleyball recap where the Lady Longhorns from Caprock are in the playoffs for the first time in 40 years.
